Saw in the recent Blood-Horse (the what? You don’t read the definitive guide to thoroughbred breeding and racing?) that Halsey Minor, founder of CNET is talking about buying Hialeah Park, a decaying, one-time temple of horse racing located outside Miami. Minor made his fortune taking CNET public in 1996 (CBS recently bought the company for $1.8 billion).
