I heard a rumor today that Disney was going after the Chinese online market by releasing films and TV shows to a site called VV8. At this point, it’s all conjecture, but I wanted to see whether this was the Chinese version of Hulu — the site of choice (so far) for Disney in the U.S.
Couldn’t find anything Disney related, but mostly because I stopped looking when I stumbled on these two thumbnails:

- Is this the Chinese Manimal? Instead of turning into an owl or cheetah or elk, or whatever it was the the Manimal horribly mophed into in the exact same footage each episode, I’m guessing that this is a show where a woman Womanimalizes into a diamond back snake whose hair always covers her snake breasts. Why hasn’t Ben Silverman picked this up for the U.S. audience? It’s the next Office, guaranteed.
- This must be Snakes on a Plane, it’s at least based on Snakes on a Plane, or perhaps inspired by the true story of watching Snakes on a Plane (or seeing the box art).

In any case, the graphic says all you need to know about this movie, I believe: Giant, apparently Firewire-compliant snake eats a human. Or perhaps it’s a regular Firewire snake eating a tiny human. My browser has been choking on the video for the last 20 minutes, so I’ll probably never find out. Any Mandarin readers out there who can help?
